St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball player Julia Reggio was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans contest at Dominican College on Saturday afternoon.
Reggio scored 12 points, grabbed 2 rebounds and picked up a steal in 22 minutes of action in STAC's 69-52 loss against the Chargers. The first-year player for STAC shot 50% from the floor (3-for-6) and 100% from the free-throw line (6-for-6).
The Spartans return to Aquinas Hall on Wednesday, February 3, for their East Coast Conference opener against Molloy College at 6:00 pm before playing their next two on the road at Mercy College on Sunday, February 7 and Wednesday, February 10.
