St. Thomas Aquinas women's basketball players Briana Sloper and Shpresa Liharevic earned ECC Co-Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week Awards.

Sloper was named the Co-Player of the Week after averaging 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds for the week.  The sophomore led her team with 21 points and tallied a game-high 14 rebounds in STAC's OT loss to Molloy.  She then helped carry the Lady Spartans to a 58-51 win at Dowling behind 14 points and 8 rebounds.  Sloper shot 48 percent from the field (13-27) to help the Spartans to a 1-1 week. 

Liharevic was named the Rookie of the Week for the second week after going 5-11 from behind the arc averaging 12.5 points, including a game-high 19 point performance in STAC's win at Dowling.  Against Molloy, Liharevic shot forty percent from the field (8-20) and went 4-4 from the foul line including a pair of free throws to give STAC a one point lead over Molloy with :50 seconds left in the game.  The rookie also averaged 5 rebounds for the week.
