Boston, Mass. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team continued their indoor season on Friday and Saturday at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston, Massachusetts.
Headlining the stellar Spartan performances during the 2-day event were Victoria Maher's seventh place finish in the women's weight throw competition with a toss of 16.06m (52'8.25"), which is a new program record. In addition Darwin Almonte placed first in the men's 200 meter dash in a time of 21.46 which sets an NCAA D2 Provisional mark, and he also placed second in the men's 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.17 which is a new program record.
STAC returns to action on Friday, February 6 at the Rutgers University Scarlet Knight Open, which will be contested at the historic 168th Street Armory in New York City.
