Philadelphia, Pa. - On Thursday and Friday, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Track & Field program participated in the 2025 Penn Relays at the historic Franklin Field. The Spartans sent its best and brightest stars to the City of Brotherly Love for both track and field events over two days in Philadelphia.
Among the outstanding performances for the maroon and gold were the top 10 finishes of Jayden Bennermon, who won the Triple Jump with a vault of 14.79m (48'6.25") and Emmanuel Mena Jimenez, who placed second in the Discus with a throw of 51.60m (169'3"). Both Spartans saw their event marks once again hit NCAA Division II Provisional standards.
The Women's 4x400 Meter Relay team of Yulessa Johnson, Isabella Farino-Esposito, Zoe Merryman and Veronica Valentik placed fourth with a time of 4:14.32, while the Men's 4x400 Meter Relay squad of Adrien Klinnik, Leelan Maxwell, Kaleb Rayle and Danny Lu finished seventh in a time of 3:34.81.
STAC returns to action on Thursday, May 1 (9:00 a.m.) at the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The postseason meet is hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University on the Redhawks campus in Rochester, N.Y.
