St. Thomas Aquinas College's Jayden Bennermon was named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, following the Spartans participation in the prestigious Penn Relays last weekend in Philadelphia.

Bennermon (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) won the triple jump at Penn Relays, taking the victory in a field of 21 with a vault of 14.79m (48' 6 1/4). The mark continues to set NCAA Division II Provisional standards. The STAC senior also placed 14th in the high jump field of 22 with a leap of 2.00m (6' 6 3/4”).

STAC returns to action on Thursday, May 1 (9:00 a.m.) at the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The postseason meet is hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University on the Redhawks campus in Rochester, N.Y.
