St. Thomas Aquinas College's Emmanuel Mena Jimenez was named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday following the Spartans most recent event, the Ramapo College Invitational last Friday and Saturday.

Mena Jimenez (West Haverstraw, N.Y.) won the discus in a field of 29 with a throw of 53.80m (176' 6") and placed second in the hammer throw in a field of 24 with a toss of 58.50m (191' 11") at the Ramapo College Track & Field Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Both measurements hit NCAA Division II Provisional marks for the graduate student.
