New York, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team continued its 2024-25 campaign on Friday and Saturday at the Dr. Sander Scorcher, which was held within the friendly confines of the historic 168th Street Armory in New York City.
The Spartans faced off against athletes from several Division I, II and III institutions, including: Army West Point, BYU, Colgate, Columbia, FDU, Felician, Iona, Lehigh, LIU, Manhattan, Monmouth, New Haven, NJIT, NYU, Staten Island, Syracuse, Temple and Wisconsin.
Headlining the outstanding performances for the Spartans in the two-day event were Adam Lenn's eighth place finish in the weight throw, with a toss of 15.01m (49'3") and Zoe Merryman's 3000 Meter Run, which she completed in 10:36.60 to earn a 14th place finish.
STAC returns to action on Friday, January 31 for the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights Open, which will be contested at the 168th Street Armory in New York City. Events are scheduled to get underway beginning at 9:00 a.m.
