St. Thomas Aquinas College's Andrew Drescher has been named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans took part in the St. Thomas University Spring Break Meet in Miami, Florida.

Drescher (Duanesburg, N.Y.) set a new school record in the Javelin with a throw of 48.54m (159'3"), which also placed first in the Bobcats' event. The senior distance runner/thrower also placed fourth in both the 800 and 1500 Meter Runs, clocking in at 2:04.32 and 4:06.28 respectively. Addtionally, he helped lead his 4x400 Meter Relay team to another fourth place finish with a time of 3:41.43.

STAC returns to action on Friday & Saturday, March 31 (3:00 p.m.) and April 1 (10:00 a.m.) at the Ramapo College Track and Field Invitational in Mahwah, New Jersey.
