On Friday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced their 2021 Outdoor Track & Field All-Region awards, and DeAndre Smith of St. Thomas Aquinas College was selected for the prestigious honor in recognition of his outstanding spring season.
Smith, a junior from Brentwood, N.Y., led the way for the Spartans in the High Jump event, as he posted First (ECC Championships/1.90m), Second (ESU All-American Invitational/1.95m) and Third (Saint Peter's University Invite/1.84m) Place finishes in three meets this season.
