On Friday the Spartans and Lady Spartans competed at the Gotham Cup. Two Spartan school records were broken in great performances from Winslow Dorsainvil and Gabriela Sloezen.
Winslow Dorsainvil kept his great season going by breaking his
own school record in the 60 meters by running 6.78.
Dorsainvil finished 4th overall in the 60 meters where there was
over 90 competitors running in the 60 meters. His time of
6.78 puts him 7th overall in the Country as of 1/18/15.
Dorsainvil then came back and ran 23.17 in the 200.
Gabriela Sloezen also had a great performance in the 500 where
she broke our school record in the 500 in a time of 1:18.02 to
place 22nd out of over 70 competitors in the event. Allison
Borriello finished 32nd out of over 100 competitors in the 800 with
a time of 2:24.08. Her sister Kristen Borriello 36th overall
in the mile with a time of 5:22.79.
The Spartans and Lady Spartans next compete at the Metro Team
Challenge at the Armory in NYC on Friday.
