The St. Thomas Aquinas Women's Track & Field Team took 5th place at the East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday.  Senior Allison Borriello placed 2nd overall in the 800 with a time of 2:20.99.

The 4x200 team of Kaitlyn Mancini, Tiana Kirkland, Catherine Sandkuhl, and Gabby Sloezen took 3rd overall with a time of 1:50.95 which is a new Spartan school record. Senior Keeley Bateman took 3rd overall in the 1000 with a time of 3:16.97.  Meagan Jaskot took 3rd in the 3000 with a time of 10:56.74 and Meaghan Ventarola took 6th with a time of 11:03.54. Katie O'Grady took 3rd overall in the 5000 in a time of 20:00.66.  Cecelia Pfleging took 5th overall in the 1600 in a time of 5:51.83. The 4x800 team of Bateman, Rebecca Fortoul, Gina Funaro and Jumana Khatib took 3rd overall in the 4x800 in a time of 10:27.09.  The DMR team of Bateman, Funaro, Fortoul and Jaskot took 2nd in the DMR in a time of 13:22.47.  The Lady Spartans scored 36 points in the previous season at the same event and this year they scored 61 points.
