Redshirt freshmen standout Winslow Dorsaivil has qualified for the NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field National Championship in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is currently ranked 14th in the nation in the 60 meter dash. Dorsianvil will will run in the preliminaries of the 60 at 4:10 on Friday.
Winslow has quite a resume after an impressive rookie campaign. He holds the St. Thomas Aquinas 60 meter record in a time 6.79. He has been named All-Region (currently ranked 1st in the East Region), All-Conference and All-CTC in this event as well as All-Conference in the 60 meters, 200 meters and 4x200 relay for the East Coast Conference.
"Winslow is a hard working athlete that deserves this opprotunity at Nationals. He is well prepared and ready to run," remarked 5th year Head Coach Lorne Marcus. Marcus lead his team to a 2nd place finish at the 2014 ECC Indoor Track & Field Championship.
Dorsainvil graduated from Spring Valley High School in 2012. He is the 2 time NY State Champion in he 55 and is a state champion in the 100 meters. He holds the 55 meter record and 100 meter record for Spring Valley High School.
