The Spartans competed this past weekend at Boston University and continued their recent trend of setting new STAC records along with personal bests. Sophomore George Erazo led the way moving up to 15th in the nation in DII in the 400m with a time of 48.65.
Erazo also ran a new personal best in the 200 in a time of 22.77. Freshman Alex Andre set a new Spartan record in the 800m in a time of 1:56.36. Classmate Joe Chegwidden also ran a new personal best in the mile crossing the line in 4:30.23.
Freshman Catherine Sandkuhl bettered her school record time in the 400m withe a time of 60.94. Sophomore Keeley Bateman ran the 800m in 2:21.74 which placed her 36th overall. The Women's DMR team of Bateman, Kaitlyn Mancini, Sandkuhl, and Chelsea Klinger ran a new season best time of 13:07.40 which is 15 seconds faster then their previous best.
A few members of the Track & Field squad will be competing in the New Balance Collegiate Games this weekend, while the rest of the team will be preparing for the CTC Championships in Middleton,Connecticut two weeks from now.
