The St. Thomas Aquinas men's Track & Field team competed on Thursday night in the St. Johns Bill Ward Invitational at St. Anthony's High School in Huntington, NY. Sophomore George Erazo won the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.74 and also came in 7th in the 200 with a time of 23.26.
Sophomore Mike Kraus took 3rd overall in the 800 with a time of 2:03.68. Classmate Frankie Colon won the triple jump with a jump of 12.95 meters. Mike Galonski and Joe Chegwidden took 1 and 2 in the 3000 meter with time of 9:13.58 and 9:13.59. Senior Trevor Milazzo threw a new personal best of 11.03 m in the shot put. Freshman Alex Andre finished 4th in the mile in a time of 4:34.98. Junior Rich Ricca took 7th overall in the 60 with a time of 7.21.
The Spartan's Men's team will now have a few weeks off until they compete again on January 6th at the Armory in NYC.
The Lady Spartan's will be competing on Saturday this week at the Harvard Open so there will be more to come.
