Men's Track Rank #8 in East Region, Women in 14th

The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's Track & Field Team dropped one spot to number 8 in the East Region in the USTFCCCA poll released today.  Junior Mike Abelard is currently ranked 24th in the country in the 200 meter dash.  Sophomore George Erazo is currently ranked 20th in the country in the 400 meter dash.

Within the East Region Abelard is currently ranked 4th in the 60 meters and 5th in the 200m.  Erazois ranked 7th in 400m.  The Men's 4x400 team fell in at 4th in the region, while the Distance Medley Relay holds the 6th place spot.  Frankie Colon is ranked 6th in the region in the triple jump.  In the latest rankings the Spartan Men's Track & Field team got ranked 65th in the country.

While the Women's Track & Field Team moved up one spot to number 14 in the region.  Sophomore Keeley Bateman is currently ranked 8th in the 800.  Seniors Chelsea Klinger and Lisa Brevogel hold the 5th and 6th spots respectively in the pentathlon.

The Spartans return to action on Friday at the Molloy Invitational which will be held at St. Anthony's in Huntington, NY.
