Sophomores Keeley Bateman and George Erazo broke their own school records on Saturday as the St. Thomas Aquinas Track & Field Team competed at the Monmouth Invitational.  Bateman ran a 4:59.44 in the 1500m while Erazo finished the 400m in 48.05.

Batemans record setting performance earned a 19th place finish in a comeptitve field of 77 runners.  Erazo nabbed 3rd overall out of 78 runners.  Other notable performances include freshman Joe Chegwidden who ran a personal best of 4:08.30 in the 1500m which placed him 19th.  Junior Garvenchy Nicolas also ran a personal best in the 1500 with a time of 4:11.39 which placed him 27th overall. 

The Lady Spartans will return to action on Friday at Georgian Court University and the men's squad will be back in action on Saturday at West Point.

The Track and Field team will be hosting a fundraiser this Saturday from 7:00 P.M. until 9:30 P.M. in the cafeteria.  They will be having "Final Four Wing Night" with chicken fingers, fries, a salad bar, an ice cream bar and a raffle during the on Saturday night.  Come one, come all and have a fun time with our team.  For more information, please email Lorne Marcus at lmarcus@stac.edu.
