The St. Thomas Aquinas men's track & field team is currently ranked 8th in the Northeast Region. The Lady Spartans received 13th place in this weeks regional ranking. Sophomore Mike Abelard and Freshman George Erazo are each ranked 4th in their respective events. Abelard in the 60m dash and Erazo in the 400m.
Abelard and Erazo are both ranked in the 200m with Abelard currently 3rd and Erazo 15th. Garvenchy Nicolas, Desmond Jackson, Michael Kraus and Michael Galonski are 4th in the region in the DMR with a time of 11:03.83. In the 4x400; Vinny Modafferi, Rich Ricca, Jackson and Erazo hold the 7th place spot in the region. Ricca is 11th in the 60m while Kraus is 18th in the 800m.
Keeley Bateman leads the Lady Spartans with a ranking in two events. Bateman is 7th in the 800m and 16th in the mile. Sarah Callagy trails her teammate by a mere :03, holding the 17th place ranking in the mile. Julia Karl, Caroline Bjorkman, Lauren Karpoich and Callagy are 11th in the northeast in the 4x400.
The Spartans are ranked 75th in the Nation.
