The St. Thomas Aquinas track team kicked off the 2010-2011 Winter Season at the CTC Carnival in New Haven, CT. The Spartan relay team of Mike Abelard, George Erazo, Frankie Colon and Rich Ricca finished in 2nd place in the 4x200 with a time of 1:32.08. Ricca also picked up a second place finish in the 55m dash with a time of 6.64.
Erazo, Colon, Desmond Jackson and Vinny Modaferri finished 3rd in the 4x400 meter realy with a time of 3:29.63. The Spartans took 5th in the men's distance medley as Michael Kraus, Chris McKenna, Garvenchy Nicolas and Michael Galonski finished at 11:03.94.
The Spartans will split up and compete at two different sites this weekend with one group heading to Fordham on Friday while the other group will compete at Harvard on Saturday.
