St. Thomas Aquinas College Softball player Adriana Coira was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans perfect 4-0 week on the diamond, with wins over conference opponents Mercy University and D'Youville University last week.

Coira (San Juan, Puerto Rico) had four hits, including a pair of doubles and a triple in an 11-6 win over the Saints to highlight a strong week both offensively and defensively at shortstop. For the week, the senior batted .571 (8-for-14) with a home run, a triple and three doubles, along with four RBI and five runs scored to help STAC post doubleheader sweeps against ECC opponents Mercy and D'Youville.
