St. Thomas Aquinas College Softball Pitcher Abbie Landrum was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, for the third time this season on Monday, following the Spartans outstanding week on the diamond, which included victories over Queens, Molloy and D'Youville.
Landrum excelled at the plate and in the circle to help STAC post a 5-2 record. Offensively, the freshman from Buena Park, Calif. batted .421, with five runs and seven RBI. In the circle, she compiled an earned run average of 2.41 while posting a record of 3-2.
STAC (19-15 overall, 12-3 ECC) next visits Mercy College on Tuesday, April 19 for an ECC doubleheader that begins at 2:30 p.m.
