St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball players Kyran Versteegen and Luis Grath were each selected for the East Coast Conference's weekly awards on Monday, following the Spartans straight sets sweep of Sacred Heart University last Friday.
Versteegen was tabbed as the ECC Player of the Week, while Grath scored ECC Defensive Player of the Week kudos.
Versteegen (Sittard, Netherlands) recorded 17 kills, two serve assists, a service ace, six digs, and three block assists in a 3-0 road sweep of the Pioneers. The STAC junior outside hitter also held a scorching .609 hitting percentage in that match.
Grath (Bruehl, Germany) racked up six kills, a serve assist, a solo block and two block assists in a straight sets road sweep of Sacred Heart. The STAC freshman middle blocker also held a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage in that match.
STAC (3-7) returns home to face Long Island University on Thursday, February 12 at the Spartan Athletic Complex. First serve is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
