Kyran Versteegen & Marcus Franck Earn ECC Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors

St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball players Kyran Versteegen and Marcus Franck were each selected for the East Coast Conference's weekly awards on Monday, following the Spartans crucial 3-1 conference victory over crosstown rivals Dominican University last Friday.

Versteegen was tabbed as the ECC Player of the Week, while Franck scored ECC Setter of the Week kudos.

Versteegen (Sittard, Netherlands) recorded 16 kills, three serve assists, two service aces, ten digs and a block assist in a road win against the Chargers. The STAC junior outside hitter also held a .343 hitting percentage for the match.   

Franck (Congonhas, Brazil) totaled a kill, 30 serve assists (7.5 assists per set), two service aces, four digs and block assist in a road victory over Dominican.

STAC (11-12, 4-1 ECC) heads to Rochester, New York for the final match of the 2026 regular season against Roberts Wesleyan University on Saturday, April 18. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the Voller Athletic Center, with the winner crowned ECC Regular Season Champions. As a reminder, the top seed in the postseason tournament also receives hosting duties for the semifinal and final rounds.
