On Wednesday, the NCAA released its first Division II Men's Tennis Regional poll, with St. Thomas Aquinas College listed as one of five teams "under consideration" for a postseason bid.
The Spartans appear in week's initial rankings with an overall record of 15-3 and a perfect 5-0 ECC mark. STAC holds regular season victories over Chestnut Hill, Jefferson, West Chester, Fairleigh Dickinson, Hofstra, Edinboro, District of Columbia (x2), Daemen (x2), Manhattanville, Queens, Vassar, Yeshiva and NYU. The team's only regular season setbacks come via Wayne State (Mich.), Augustana (S.D.) and St. Thomas (Fla.).
STAC wraps up regular season play with matches against Queens (Apr. 17), Adelphi (Apr. 20) and Baruch (May 2), while also taking part in the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Tournament on April 24 & 25 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Regional selections will be announced on May 4, with matches taking place on May 11 & 12. Winners of each regional will head to Surprise, Arizona and the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex for the Division II Championships, which will be held May 19-24.
