Henry Ronnberg has been named the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday, following the Spartans 2-1 week with wins against Assumption University and Yeshiva University.
Ronnberg went 5-0 over three matches, going 3-0 in doubles and 2-0 in singles against Assumption, Yeshiva, and North Carolina Central last week. Against the Greyhounds, the STAC sophomore took No. 1 doubles with partner Seth Newman over Herman Aguirre and Luigi Bassani, 6-4 and No. 5 singles against Bernardo Blancho 6-2, 6-0. Next, Ronnberg with teammate Kylan Feruglio won No. 2 doubles against the Maccabees David Cattan and Jacob Feit, 6-0. Finally, the Ahus, Sweden native scored a No. 2 doubles victory with Seth Newman over the Eagles Kareem Abdul Hakim and Oliver Saarinen, 6-3 and a No. 6 singles triumph against Oliver Saarinen 6-2, 6-2.
STAC (6-2) next takes on Hampton University on Tuesday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. in Orlando, Florida.
