#2 STAC Battles #3 Jefferson in NCAA Division II Men's Tennis East Regional

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Tennis team has earned the #2 seed in the upcoming 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship East Regional, and will take on #3 seeded Jefferson University on the road at the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center in Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday, May 10 at 2:00 p.m.

The Spartans will be looking to advance to championship finals for the first time in program history.

STAC finished the 2024-2025 regular season with a 16-6 overall record and a 4-2 ECC mark. The maroon and gold made its sixth East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Championship finals appearance in the last seven seasons, falling to Queens College 4-1.

The Spartans and Rams (10-7, 3-0 CACC) faced off against each other just once during the 2024-25 regular season, with STAC defeating Jefferson, 6-1 at the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center. The squads have faced each other fifteen times going back to the 2007-08 season. STAC currently holds a 9-6 advantage in those matchups.

Last Meeting: April 9, 2025 - STAC 6/Jefferson 1

Preliminary Round matches will begin on May 9-10 at seeds Queens College (QC Tennis Bubble - Flushing, N.Y.) and Thomas Jefferson University (Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center - Philadelphia, Pa.). The winner of #4 Adelphi vs. #5 District of Columbia will play #1 Queens, while the winner of #3 Jefferson vs. #2 St. Thomas Aquinas automatically advances to the finals.

The winners of each regional bracket will advance to the 2025 NCAA Men's Tennis Championship Finals, which will take place May 20-24 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission will serve as hosts.
