Recently, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final Division II Men’s Team, Singles and Doubles Regional and National Rankings.
The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Tennis team placed #2 in the East Region to close out the 2024-2025 season.
STAC wrapped up its campaign at 17-7 overall and 4-2 in ECC play, as the Spartans outstanding season included their sixth ECC Championship Final appearance in the last seven years, along with program's first-ever NCAA East Regional victory and subsequent NCAA Round of 16 National Championship appearance.
The maroon and gold picked up wins over West Chester (6-1), Chestnut Hill (6-1), Lafayette (6-1), Manhattanville (7-0), Assumption (6-1), Yeshiva (6-1), Hampton (4-3), Niagara (4-3), Daemen (7-0), Daemen (7-0), Vassar (7-0), Jefferson (6-1), District of Columbia (6-1), Adelphi (5-2), District of Columbia (5-2), District of Columbia-ECC Semifinal (4-0) and Jefferson-NCAA East Regional (4-3). The team's only blemishes come via setbacks to Fairleigh Dickinson (4-3), North Carolina Central (4-3), Fairfield (4-3), Queens (5-2), Queens (4-3), Queens-ECC Final (4-1) and Valdosta State-NCAA Finals (4-0).
In addition, the following Spartans earned individual regional and national rankings for their outstanding singles and doubles performances during the 2024-25 season.
