Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Tennis team had the rare opportunity to pick up two team wins in the same day, and did just that on Sunday, sweeping an East Coast Conference twin bill from Daemen University, 7-0 and 7-0 at the Riley Family Tennis Courts.
STAC closes its 2023-24 regular season schedule, improving to 13-6 and 4-2 in ECC play with the pair of victories, while Daemen falls to 5-14 and 0-6.
Henry Ronnberg and Seth Newman both went 4-0 on the day, winning two singles and two doubles matches apiece. Newman was also named the Most Impactful Player of today's doubleheader.

STAC begins its preparations for the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Tournament, which takes place Friday and Saturday, April 26-27 at the Queens College Tennis Center in Flushing, New York. The #2 seeded Spartans will take on #3 University of the District of Columbia in the semifinal round, with the winner facing off with the top seed and hosts Queens College for the ECC Championship the very next day.
However, as part of a new format agreement between the East Coast Conference and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), the winners of each league will then do battle to decide who receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament. That match will take place on Saturday, May 4.
