Ondrej Sramek has been named the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week, for the third straight week, following the Spartans 7-0 shutout victory over Manhattanville College last weekend.
Sramek (Fr./Trebechovice pod Orebem, Czech Republic) helped the Spartans remain perfect on the season with a pair of victories in STAC's blanking of the Valiants. Ondrej teamed with Ivan Laiz to defeat Luis Gonzalez & Shiel Loganadan 6-1 in doubles action, before taking down Weston Goodwin 6-0, 6-1 in singles play.
STAC (5-0) now prepares for its four match, Florida spring break trip which gets underway on Monday, March 13 (9:00 a.m.) with Niagara University.
