Spartans' Ferragut-Lluch Earns ECC All-Conference Honors

St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Tennis player Andreu Ferragut-Lluch was named to the ECC All-Conference First Team on Thursday afternoon.

Ferragut-Lluch, the senior from Palma de Mallorca, Spain, set many new program and individual records, while helping guide his team to an impressive 11-6 regular season mark during 2017-2018. On the year, Andreu has a current record of 26-9, which includes 14-4 singles and 12-5 doubles marks. Meanwhile in the ECC, he holds a record of 8-2 (4-1 singles, 4-1 doubles), and was selected on two occasions as the ECC Player of the Week.

In addition, Ferragut-Lluch became the first player in program history to eclipse the 100 career win plateau, is now the current leader in singles, doubles and combined wins, and holds the single-season record in singles (17), doubles (16) and combined (33) wins.

To go along with his First Team selection, Andreu wraps his Spartan Career with an All-Conference Second Team honor in 2015-2016, and career competition records of 109-46 (combined), 60-20 (singles), 49-26 (doubles) and a 29-13 (15-6 singles/14-7 doubles) mark within ECC play.

However, Ferragut-Lluch and his Spartan teammates can add to their record totals this weekend, as St. Thomas Aquinas College plays in the ECC Men's Tennis Tournament, first taking on the top-seeded NYIT Bears in the semifinals on Friday at 11am in Flushing, NY.
