Goalkeeper Johan Morales of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer team has been named the East Coast Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, following the Spartans 1-0-1 week on the pitch.
Morales (Norristown, Pa.) recorded back-to-back shutout performances for STAC. The junior netminder made three saves in a critical 4-0 non-conference win over Assumption, who entered the week ranked fifth in the East Region, on Tuesday. He then made five stops in a scoreless conference draw with Daemen on Saturday.
STAC (5-1-1, 0-0-1 ECC) heads to Staten Island on Wednesday, October 2 for a midweek matchup with the CSI Dolphins which gets underway at 2:00 p.m.
