Kevon Evans Earns ECC Men's Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week Honors

Kevon Evans of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer team has been named the East Coast Conference Men's Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week, following the Spartans thrilling 3-2 victory over Golden-Beacom College to open their 2024 campaign.

The ECC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year kicked off his senior season with his first career hat-trick, as Evans (Ossining, N.Y.) scored all three goals in STAC’s 3-2, season-opening win over the Lightning on Thursday afternoon. Evans tied the the score in both the 61st minute (assisted by Elias Ait Bouali) and the 70th minute (assisted by Yahir Hernandez), before converting the match-winning penalty kick in the 89th minute. 

STAC (1-0-0) returns to action on Wednesday, September 11 in a non-conference road matchup with Georgian Court University. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Investors Savings Bank Field in Lakewood, N.J.
