On Friday, the East Coast Conference released its 2022 Men's Soccer All-Conference Awards. St. Thomas Aquinas College forwards Jorge Umana and Kevon Evans were recognized with First and Second Team honors, respectively by the league.
Umana, the senior from Orangeburg, N.Y., registered a team and ECC-leading 12 goals and six assists, for 30 points, while playing in all 16 contests for the Spartans. He was also named the ECC Player of the Week on August 29 for his four goal performance against Saint Michael's College.
Meanwhile, Evans, the sophomore from Ossining, N.Y., finished second on the team in goals (9), assists (4) and points (22) in 15 games played. He was also selected as the conference's Player of the Week on September 6 for his three goal week, including two goals against Alliance University.
St. Thomas Aquinas posted a record of 6-6-4 (2-3-3 ECC) during the 2022 season.
