STAC Men's Soccer Top 5 in First NCAA Region Poll & Latest Coaches Poll

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer team has been ranked #4 in the first NCAA East Region Poll, released on Wednesday and #5 in this week's United Soccer Association Coaches' Poll, released on Tuesday. Through games of last week, the Spartans had ridden a six-game winning streak to an 9-2-1 overall record.

The Spartans earned their respective rankings after beating Molloy College 1-0 on the road last Saturday afternoon in Rockville Centre, NY.

The STAC surge has been led by senior goalkeeper Jack Nicholson, who has anchored the tough backline by leading the East Coast Conference in wins (9), goals against average (0.49), and save percentage (.861). The offense has boasted a balanced effort with Federico Scaglioni, Luis Morales, George Yusuff, Lachlan Wilkinson and Brad Neal all tied for the team lead with three goals each.
