St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse athletes Giorgio D'Angelo and Jack Margetson were named the ECC Defensive Players of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively on Monday, following the Spartans 14-6 victory over D'Youville University last week.
D'Angelo picked up his second win of the season on the strength of an 11 save performance against the Saints. The senior netminder from Highland, N.Y. only allowed two goals for an .843 save percentage in 43 plus minutes of action on Senior Day.
Margetson, the freshman from Langley, British Columbia, recorded three goals and two assists for five points in the Spartans' contest against D'Youville.
STAC (2-10 overall, 1-3 ECC) heads out on the road, visiting Frostburg State University on Saturday, April 23 at 12:00 p.m.
