The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team lost to Adelphi, 22-7 on Thursday evening. Briele Caples scored three goals for the Spartans while Brenton Mighty added two. Tyler Senatore and Thomas Hollway each added a goal for the Spartans.
Caples scored two first quarter goals to tie the game up but that was as close as the Spartans would get as the home team held a 14-3 lead at halftime. Michael Osmundsen scored four goals for Adelphi which held a 57-28 shot advantage over the Spartans.
Ryan Mello had 16 saves in goal for the Spartans. STAC will return to action on Wednesday when they host Wilmington for a 3:00 p.m. game.
