Great Neck, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team stormed out of the gates with five first period goals on Friday night, en route to a 9-3 victory over the United States Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point) at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink.
STAC improves to 14-7 overall and 10-1 in MCHC play.
Jason Desalvo, Andrew Fenninger and Anthony Prunty each tallied a pair of goals, as teammates James Tremblay, Noah Barr and Allen Magie also added to the scoresheet with a goal apiece. In goal, Theo Morris (W, 5-2) got the start and turned aside 29 of 32 shots faced to help the maroon and gold to victory.
