Tobin Anderson Named HoopDirt.com Division II Coach of the Week

On Tuesday, St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball Head Coach Tobin Anderson was named the HoopDirt.com Coach of the Week for Division II.

Coach Anderson and St. Thomas Aquinas extended their winning streak to 10, with another pair of road victories this pastweek. The Spartans opened the week at No. 24 Daemen College, who entered the contest unbeaten in conference play and had handed STAC its only conference loss on the season earlier in the year. In a back and forth battle, the Spartans were able to pick up a thrilling 75-70 overtime victory and move into a tie for first place in the ECC. At D’Youville University on Sunday, STAC led wire-to-wire in a 94-55 triumph to improve to 22-4 (15-1 ECC) on the campaign. The Spartans will look to make it 11 straight when they host the University of the District of Columbia on Wednesday.

Coaches selected for this weekly honor are now eligible to receive the HoopDirt.com National Coach of the Year Award presented by Just Play Solutions, which will be announced at the conclusion of the 2021-22 college basketball season. This is the seventh year that HoopDirt.com has run the Coach of the Week and Coach of the Year Programs.

STAC wraps up its 2021-22 home regular season schedule, hosting the University of the District of Columbia on Wednesday, February 23. Opening tip is set for 7:30pm at Aquinas Hall.
