Legendary STAC Men's Basketball & NBA Coach Gordon Chiesa Hosts Coaches Clinic

Aquinas Hall and St. Thomas Aquinas College played host to a very special basketball coaches clinic, as legendary collegiate and NBA coach, Gordon Chiesa, returned to his alma mater on Wednesday.

Chiesa, a 1973 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College and a former Athletic Director and Men's Basketball Head Coach for the Spartans, was honored by the college last October at the annual Men's Basketball Tip-Off Dinner with induction into the St. Thomas Aquinas College Alumni Hall of Fame. In his NBA career, Gordie served as an Assistant Coach with the Utah Jazz, and a special consultant to the Orlando Magic.

Presenting in his twenty ninth coaches clinic, Chiesa has made it a tradition to give back to coaches in the metropolitan area. A select number of coaches from the AAU, CYO, high school and collegiate ranks were invited to participate at no cost.

First time invitees and veterans of past clinics were treated to on-court demonstrations and discussions sessions about the game by one of the best basketball clinicians in the sport.
