The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team participated in the Battle at the Shores at Normandy Shores Golf Club April 2nd and 3rd.  The Spartans finished in 16th place amongst a very competitive field.  

Hamish Houston shot a team low 226 after three rounds of play tying for 46th place.  Michael Miranda finished in second for the Spartans with a three round total of 231, tying for 61st place.  

Florida Southern took first place with a team score of 839.  Florida Southern's John VanDerLaan won in a playoff against teammate John Coultas.  VanDerLann eagled the 18th hole while Coultas birdied.  The field of eighteen teams consisted of mostly Southern schools was hosted by Barry University who finished in fourth place.  

The Spartans will travel to Rum Point in Maryland where they host their annual Spring Invitational.  The two day event will begin on Saturday April 7th at the Rum Point Golf Course in Berlin, MD.
