Frizalone and Miranda Tie for 2nd Place at Jasper Invitational

St. Thomas Aquinas golfers Michael Frizalone and Michael Miranda tied for 2nd place at the Jasper Invitational hosted by Manhattan College.  After two rounds both Spartans had a two day score of 145 along with Hofstra's Eric Shelly.  

Frizalone had the daily low score on day two posting a one under par, 69.  Miranda was consistent for both rounds carding a 72 on day one and a 73 for his second round.  Jack Phillips finished tied for sixth place recording a 78 during his opening round and coming back much stronger on day two with a 71.  Glen Watson and Shekelqim Kukaj finished in 15th and 19th place respectively.   

Hofstra won the event with a team score of 583, while the Spartans finished in 4th place as the lone DII school in the field.   

The Spartans will be back on the course on Wednesday when they travel to Westchester Country Club to compete against the Unversity of Sterling from Scotland.
