Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Field Hockey team wrapped up its three-match homestand on Saturday afternoon, falling to Southern Connecticut State University, 3-1, at Spartan Field.
STAC drops to 3-8 overall and 2-4 in NE10 play, while So. Connecticut State improves to 6-6 and 3-3.
Isabella Folster, Taylor Leckey and Natalia Fiato each scored goals for the visiting Owls, while Rachel Miller (W, 4-5) got the start in the cage for Southern Connecticut State and allowed a goal on three shots faced to earn her fourth win in ten appearances (nine starts) this season.
Meanwhile, Clemence Papleux scored the lone goal for St. Thomas Aquinas, her ninth of the season, on a one-timer set up by a Catherine Horn penalty corner insert. Ailsa Ogilvie (L, 3-7) got the nod in the cage for the Spartans and made six stops on nine shots.
