On Thursday, both the National Field Hockey Coaches Association and the Northeast-10 Conference released its annual Fall Semester Academic Awards, where 14 Spartans received NFHCA honors and 17 were recognized by the NE10 for their individual successes in the classroom.
Over 540 student-athletes from 35 Division II institutions have been named to the 2021 NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
Meanwhile, the NE10 Academic Honor Roll acknowledges the commitment of student-athletes to excel in the classroom with three designations – Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49 GPA).
A total of 4,090 student-athletes from the Northeast-10 Conference were named to the Honor Roll, including associate members.
