John Galanoudis enters his second year of coaching at STAC.  John is a Long Island native from Farmingdale, NY and an alumnus of Farmingdale Senior High School.  As a Daler, he was a successful three-year varsity starting infielder, team captain, and has earned multiple Nassau County awards.  After high school, John would go on to play at Molloy College (Div II) where he was a four year starter.  In his four years at Molloy, he posted a career batting average of .308 including 188 hits, 110 RBIs, and 6 homeruns in 175 games for the Lions (wood bat).  He was a three time East Coast Conference All-Conference selection.  Off the field, Galanoudis served a three-year term as the East Coast Conference's lone representative to the NCAA Division II National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), providing the student-athlete voice on NCAA Convention Floor regarding legislation and other key issues affecting Division II student-athletes.  Galanoudis would graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in History.  Shortly following the end of his senior campaign, Galanoudis signed a professional contract with the Las Vegas Train Robbers of the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs.  In his rookie season, Galanoudis mainly played outfield for the Train Robbers while posting a .280 batting average with 15 RBIs and 2 homeruns.  John has spent the last few years involved in hitting instruction, camps, and clinics around Long Island and has worked with various Long Island amateur baseball organizations.  In his first season coaching in collegiate summer baseball, Galanoudis managed the 2016 NY Cardinals of the NACBL (North Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League) to a 22-10 overall record and coached the West Division in the 2016 NACBL All-Star Game.  Galanoudis is also an ISSA-certified Strength & Conditioning coach.  His primary responsibilities on the STAC coaching staff includes working with the outfielders, position player strength & conditioning, as well as coaching 1st base.
