On Friday, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) have announced the recipients of the 2026 NCAA Division II All-Region Teams. Relief pitcher James Garcia of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team has been selected as a Second Team honoree in the East Region.
Garcia, a redshirt freshman right-handed pitcher from Harlem, New York, and an East Coast Conference All-Conference Second Team selection, appeared in 15 games for the Spartans this season and led the team with ten saves. His ten saves were the most for any pitcher in the East Region and ranks him fourth in all of Division II.
Garcia totaled 13.1 innings pitched and struck out 14 batters. The righty held a 1.35 ERA and 1.35 WHIP while opponents batted just .191 off him.
