St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball Pitcher Aaron Dona was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday, following the Spartans four-game series split against Molloy University last week.
Dona (Gloversville, N.Y.) pitched a complete game to earn his fourth win of the season, an 1-0 shutout of the Lions. The Gloversville, N.Y. righty threw seven innings while allowing only two hits and two walks while striking out 10.
STAC (18-17, 11-5 ECC) heads back to West Haven, Connecticut on Friday, April 21 for a twin bill with these same New Haven Chargers. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Frank Vieira Field.
