Sparkill, N.Y. - St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball pitcher Aaron Dona added yet another postseason award to his already impressive collection on Wednesday, as Dona has been named an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Division II Second Team All-East Region selection.
Dona's outstanding season on the mound, earned him both ECC Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Conference accolades, along with NCBWA Division II and D2CCA All-East Region honors. The right-handed, graduate-student from Gloversville, N.Y. led the STAC starting rotation in 2023 as the ace of the staff, with a 6-4 record and a 4.28 earned run average over 73.2 innings pitched, while striking out the opposition 109 times. Dona also set a new single-season mark in strikeouts (109), passing former record holder Frankie Moscatiello (94 in 2017) and sits second all-time in career strikeouts (277) for the Spartans, just behind Rob Frank (293).
