Kevon Evans, Ethan Hence, Zoe Merryman and Evie Paalman were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for September.
Zoe Merryman, Women's Cross Country:
Zoe Merryman (So.|Mahwah, N.J.) helped guide her team to a trio of second place finshes in races during the first month of the 2024 season. At the Manhattan College Jasper Fall Invitational, Merryman finished third overall in the 6k event with a time of 24:30.1, before winning the St. Joseph's University Golden Eagles Invitational 5k race in 19:34.0. In her final race of the month, Zoe came in fourth in the Shenandoah University Hornet Harrier Invitational 5k, crossing the finish line with a time of 20:39.8.
In recognition of her exceptional times and finishes on the race course, Merryman earned ECC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors on September 24.
