Jorge Umana, Joseph Harrison, Lauren Cooper and Elita Silins were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for October.
Jorge Umana, Men's Soccer:
Jorge Umana recorded four goals and two assists during the month of October. His ability to find back of the net was especially evident against Daemen College on October 9, when he recorded a two goals and an assist in the match.
Umana, the junior forward from Orangeburg, N.Y., registered 16 shots (9 on goal) over the six games he participated in for the Spartans.
In recognition of his outstanding efforts on the pitch, Jorge Umana was named the East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week on October 12.
