Jamal Barnes, Emmanuel Mena Jimenez, Sarah Ericson and Skylar Moreno were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for January.
Skylar Moreno, Women's Track & Field:
Skylar Moreno posted a second place finish in the Mile Run (5:12.53) and helped her 4x400 Meter Relay team to a fourth place finish (4:26.91) at the 2022 St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartan Invitational. The senior from Congers, N.Y. then placed third in the 3000 Meter Run (10:38.05) and eighth in the Triple Jump (10.22m/33'6.5") at the Ramapo College Season Opener. To close the month, Skylar finished 12th in the 1000 Meter Run (3:02.25) at the SUNY Albany Great Dane Classic.
In recognition of her outstanding performances on the track, Moreno was named the ECC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on January 18.
