Jennifer Farrell, Amanda Castro, Anthony Maisano and Tyler Senatore were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for March.
Amanda Castro, Softball:
Castro posted a .259 batting average, going 7-for-27 at the plate, with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored during the month of March. Amanda played in all 10 of the Spartans' games in their shortened season, also contributing two doubles and a home run, while opposing pitchers walked her one time.
The sophomore designated player/second baseman from Long Beach, Calif. was also a mainstay defensively for the Spartans, as Castro posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
